This is from the post on expansion velocities for .308 bullets.

Partition:
Minimum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- 1800 fps
Maximum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- N/A

Ballistic Tip:
Minimum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- 1600 fps
Maximum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- 3000 fps

AccuBond:
Minimum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- 1600 fps
Maximum Impact Velocity for Reliable Expansion- N/A

How about for .375 Partition or AccuBond? I'm loading 375 JDJ for a T/C Encore, and would have a muzzle velocity of about 2100 fps with 260 gr.
Anyone have experience/suggestions?

TJ are you using the 26" rifle barrel or the short pistol length? I'm guessing that with the rifle barrel that there is potential for much higher velocity. With a muzzle velocity of 2100+ you shouldn't have any trouble with the partitions or the accubonds opening out past 200 yards. I've been toying with getting one of the rifle barrels in the 375 JDJ.

I have the 15" handgun, and want to work up a good load for elk.
Thanks for the input.
