Anybody got one? I just noticed them having a 2.5-16x and a 4.5-30X power ranges. :)
I'm thinking that would work well on my 338RUM, but I'm a ways off from actually purchasing a scope for it. The other scope I'm looking at is a custom reticled VX-L for my specific rifle and load from Leupold.

I'm not wanting your opinion on whose the better scope maker. I only want to hear from people that actually have an Elite 6500 and what rifle cal (big magnums specifically) they are using it for and how they like it.

OU812 bought the 2.5-16x for his new 338 O'Brien.
Sounds like a heck of a scope, it has a money back garuentee!

I hadn't really looked at the new Elite 6500s until today and saw the large magnification spread.

Ahhhh all of the possibilities and of course decisions, kind of like ........ what rifle to use this year for elk, the 300RUM, 338WM, next year the 338RUM, and a 30-06 if my Uncle won't take the one I bought to give him.

You are going to love your 338 RUM.

I just put a 6500, 2.5-16x42 on my 338 Lapua and I'm hoping to get out later this week and see how she does. As JD338 mentioned they have a 1 year no questions asked refund plus the life time warranty. I was out at the range last week and did a clarity/brightness comparision between the 6500 and another well known scope brand and found the 6500 to be quite clear and bright under the exact same light conditions. I will report my findings as soon as I can get out.

The wide magnification looks real interesting. Anyone had much experience with Bushnell customer service?

I myself have had zero experience with Bushnell CS but have a friend who bought one of their less expensive scopes and had some issues, self induced which lead him to beat the scope on a wall and was going to toss the scope. I told him about their warranty so he contacted Bushnell and they sent him a brand new scope, no questions asked.

Seems like pretty good CS to me.

Does the Leupold custom shop put M1 turrents on any scope. Sure would be a nice combo. That much adjustment and power range with M1 turrents, be almost obscene.

CC.

That would cool! If Leupold could just give us a scope with with wide FOV and power adjustment with M1 dials.

I'm sure they would put the M1 turrets on any scope as long as it was made by Leupold.

Leupold will only put them an VX II, VX III, Mark 2 and 4's.
