I'm looking for someone that has extensive model 70 experience or to get contact info of someone who does.

I am looking into how to convert a model 70 super shadow into a model 70 ultimate shadow or featherweight tyoe sans the bolt itself. The ultimate, whether SS or camo and featherweight all gor the pre-64 crf bolt but the big thing is the drop floor plate!!

The super shadow is a CRPF bolt with an internal mag.

Basically the only thing I'm interested with this is the magazine area. I want to convert this to a drop floor plate like the pre-64 guns have.

I know a new stock will be required.

Trying to find out the following if.....
#1,
this conversion is even possible.
#2,
If so, what components are needed to obtain for this to work.

Thx for any and all replies, insight, etc

there are post64 bottom metals out there. screw spacing being the biggest deal. also 1 has 2 screws and the other uses 3. i think pt&g makes a bottom metal for the use of dbm's, but haven't found out for which model. i've been trying to find out as to convert my post64 264wm to dbm and which mag length it uses.

so, it's NOT a pre64? if not, the above won't work

Thanks for the response but that won't work.

This gun is a super shadow with the CRPF..
(controlled round push feed gun)

The pre64 guns are controlled round feed.

Perhaps some of the parts from the link you provided "might" work but they would only work under heavy modification if at all.

I am ok with modifications but I want to make the correct ones.

I have seen some chatter about the very conversion I am trying to do but....it's a lot of jibber jabber with no concrete A to B to C plans for completion.

kinda the reasoning i haven't ordered anything as of yet. nothing concrete!

so, what you're saying is , it's a post64 (push feed)?

i've been trying for nearly 2 years to find the correct parts and the only parts i can find are the post64 stocks and post64 triggers for my post64 264wm. hoping to find the correct bottom metal for a dbm.
