I have been routinely using an RCBS standard chamfer deburring tool on trimmed cases and found a slight resistance when seating the Nosler Partition bullets in the case. I recently picked up a Lyman VLD chamfer tool which has a gentle 22 degree chamfer to easy the bullet into the case.

Has anyone used such a tool on regular bullets and found an improvement in ease of seating the bullet?

I use a VLD chamfer tool exclusively. I have it set up on my RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Centre.

I use the same tools. My experience is it does seat the bullet easier.

I have my first chamfer tool and it has worked fine for me. It's an old RCBS made by Redding. What the angle is I have no idea but it works.
