Case Trimmer Recommendations?

I think I will purchase a new case trimmer. I currently have a thirty year plus old RCBS manual trimmer that is all set for the .270 Win. If I reload for the 450 Marlin I think I might get a another case trimmer for that so I don't have to switch back and forth.

What trimmers do you prefer or recommend?

Dan

I have a Hornady Cam Lock Trimmer. My only complaint I that the case pilots are expensive ($5 each).

I use a Wilson trimmer. It works very well for me, but I shoot a 30-06, a 25-06, and I have a new 6 BR in the stable. The 30-06 and 25-06 I can trim to the same length, so there's no adjustment required. I may pick up a second Wilson trimmer at some point for the 6 BR so I don't have to adjust the trimmer.

I have the RCBS and I just make up dummy rounds to set it up for whatever I have to trim.

I have a Forster Original I've been happy with. It requires a few collets and pilots but once you've bought them that's it forevermore.

I just bought the Frankfort Arsenal from Midway and love it. I won't manually trim a case again.

Now, Pat, you are going to compel me to expend the money to bring one into Canada! Gotta' have it!

+1 for the Forster. You can also buy the Forster case neck turning attachments that allows you to turn your case necks. Been using mine for many years.

Will do.

Yeah, I run an old RCBS trimmer. Works fine, matter of fact I just replaced the old cutter head and it is like a new machine. I think if I were getting a new one, the Frankford Arsenal would be my pick.. It looks really slick and if Pat can figure it out, I imagine I could to...

Thanks Charlie for the kind words. I have another in the cradle right now, can't wait to show you guys.

Just picked up a Frankfort Arsenal Platinum trim & prep. Haven't had the chance to test it out, but looks good. Will do some testing soon. Picked it up at Bass Pro.
