Does anyone use a cheap surplus powder in the 6mm BR with reasonable
accuracy of say .75 inch or less at 100 yards? I shoot only Nosler
55 gr bullets in mine.

While I don't load 6mmBR, I did notice Powder Valley advertising Accurate Data Powder 73 (new manufactured excess inventory) for $52 per 8 lb keg + shipping and hazmat. It would appear to be close to H335 or Vihtavuori N-133 in burning rate. Might work okay in your 6BR. They also offer Accurate 2230C for $65 for an 8 lb keg, which is supposed to be just a little slower than their regular 2230. Since Nosler lists Accurate 2230 as providing the highest velocity for the 6BR in their latest manual, maybe you should try one keg of each and see if either would work. It would still be pretty economical, $115 + $20 hazmat + shipping for 16 pounds of powder. I know if I had a .223 or .308, I would be all over that Accurate Data Powder 73. I had very good results with their previous Data 2200 and SRB-118 surplus powders. Good luck. http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/
