Looked at a Christianson arms .300 WSM this weekend looked awefully sweet though spendy at $1700 What are the pros/ cons of them compared to the A bolts, or TC new Icon

If you are going to spend that kind of money, you should also consider a custom rifle built off a M700 action, custom barrel with the contour and length you desire, and a nice HS Precision stock. You can get it in any caliber you want ant it will be a tack driver!

+1 with JD
For those kind of $ it had better be " EXACTLY " what you want. You could build one like JD says that fits your needs with excepetional performance.

yeah quite spendy I think I could get a couple other rifles for that kinda money that would make me plenty happy

DRH1175 - Are you looking at those rifles with the fancy carbon-wrapped barrels?

Hell yeah!

Don't know if this is the rifle he was referring to or not... But they are pretty much a custom built rifle - with an interesting twist not commonly available.

The steel barrel is wrapped in graphite/epoxy thread, making a very stiff barrel, like a varmint or target barrel, that also handles heat very well. It looks thick and heavy, but is actually very light.

Worth the cash or not? Well, enough people think so that they remain in business, building and selling rifles!

I don't have one, but there are more spendy rifles in the field than a guy might imagine... A fellow I know did have them put one of their fancy wrapped barrels on a long-range rifle of his, and it's worked out pretty well for him. Only through his rifle do I know anything about these things.

Regards, Guy
