am looking to buy a video camera to start getting my coyote hunts on video was curious if anybody has any info on what seems to work well in the 0-30 degree range?
We have really good luck with Sony products in extreme heat and also in the cold for our stuff Jeff. Most video cams work well in extremes, it is the batteries that take a real beating in cold weather. If you can keep the batteries somewhat warm when not in use, they will last awhile.
Gaffer's tape and instant handwarmers. Tape them over the battery area when it's real cold out and it'll help get a bit more juice out of them. Keep spare batteries in an inside coat pocket to keep them warm until needed.
