Didn't get my first choice unit 61 bull tag, again. Nor second choice unit 63 for a cow. Looks like it's over the counter for me.

How many points do you have for 61 out of curiousity ?

Just looked myself since I saw your post. My Wife drew her bull tag for first season & my Dad drew his for the second season.

I have eight points but I think that it now takes about 10 or more for unit 61.

A friend of my brother inlaw got a tag with only six points a few years back and got a MONSTER 6x6 in the first hour of opening morning.

I got my doe antelope rifle tag in the mail but still waiting to find out about the muzzleloader buck deer tag. I will buy my elk over the counter rifle tags once they go on sale; it's all a big revenue raquet anyways. Colorado sells licenses for big money, despite low success rates and lack of available state land feasably accesible to hunt....one reason I hunt BLM land, as there are a lot less restrictions of use such as firewood, atv, and camping rights.

I drew all my tags, but it looks like i will be be spending 10 days or so in the mountain alone til my dad gets there to hunt deer as he did not draw an elk tag this year and I did!!

I drew buck antelope and buck deer tag and got late cow hunt may see if I can get either sex elk tag 4th season plus be getting plains either-sex elk tag.

Yote,
Now come on, CO money hungry ???? I hear ya, I hear ya.... tiz all about quantity, not quality.

Wife drew first season bull & dad second season bull.....nothing in my pocket short of being able to hunt sheep & deer @ the same time / same area this year.

I found out earlier in the week that both my buddy and I drew our muzzleloader buck tags so now all that's left to do is buy my over the counter bull and leftover cow and doe tags for rifle season, come July 23rd. I also need to take a weekend trip over to the Grand Junction area to scout out for the Sept muzzleloader deer season. It sounds like there are a lot of them and some good sized bucks in that area so I may not shoot the first one I see or even first few.

I got a Season 4 either sex tag again in 85 which includes 140 and something else (Walsenburg to the NM line) and antlerless deer in 128 (Fowler). I had Season 1 rifle last year and it was still pretty warm so hopefully season 4 in mid-November will be better this year. I saw a few huge bulls last year, but they were pretty deep in private property.
