I was loading up 180 E-Tips in the .308 and when I seat them to fit in the magazine I was hearing kind of a crunching noise. The 180 E-Tip is a long bullet and I was wondering if it is too much compression.

I have personally never had problems with compressed and super compressed loads. In my 378 Wby with a 300 grain I actually compressed 131 grains of H870 with no issues.

start with your 38.5 gr and see what happens.

Sounds good. I thought about it and decided I better ask just in case.

Thanks Fotis.

My pleasure. Let us know how it turns out.

Hopefully I'll get out this weekend otherwise they'll have to wait until February. Work's always getting in the way.

Ain't gotta tell me about waiting....

# W 10 mph
# Gusts: 32 mph

That's the one thing I don't miss about Colorado. Forget shooting. Especially forget going out and doing some PT. You finally get to the top of a hill and a 40 mph gust comes along and blows you halfway down. Endless cycle.
