Custom competition bullets

I'd like to work up a target load for my 300wsm using a 155gr Custom competition bullet. Are they that much better than the rest of the Nosler line-up for target shooting or am I wasting my time with that particular bullet??

Any feedback would be greatly apreciated. Does anybody have any experience with the bullet mentioned??

Very accurate bullet from my .308 out to 600 yards. Haven't tried 'em much past that. I think they'd be screamers from your .300 WSM! :grin: They don't seem to mind a little jump to the lands either, pretty forgiving bullet from my experience.

Why are you thinking of shooting lightweight bullets from a magnum? Sure you get high velocity - but you'd get more retained energy and less wind drift by using a heavier match bullet with a higher ballistic coefficient.

Down side to using heavier bullets: More recoil.
