It has been a great week for my daughter, Danielle.
Her birthday was yesterday and she also graduated from Cosmology School yesterday as well.
We headed out back late this afternoon to try and connect on one of the 4 bucks that have been hanging around.
We had 6 does and fawns come in and they milled around. All three fawns were button bucks!
They all kept looking back at the bedding area so I knew we would have additional visitors.
Well, the does started moving out and I told Danielle to get ready, its show time.
Dan said there is a deer. I glassed him and told her it was her 7 pt. After several tense minutes, he turned broad side and gave Danielle her shot opportunity.
The TC Omega 50 cal roared, sending a Nosler .458 cal 300 gr BST 35 short yards into the buck, tight behind the shoulder.
The wind blew the smoke away from us allowing me to see and I knew she hit him hard.
He went 40 yards and piled up.
I am really proud of Danielle, she is an awesome kid.
Danielle made a perfect shot!
Way to go Danielle! I love ya.
