Decent 1st week

Just got home from the 1st week of Michigan rifle season. The property I hunt is next to a reservation where the hunting has been going on since Labor day weekend, plus the area farmers shooting most every adult doe they see on crop damage.

So.... we are glad to see any thing bigger than this years does. My BIL got a nice 9 pt the 1st afternoon....an old buck (to our surprise) with a bullet graze across one of its tines.

I was real happy to get a 5 pt and then a doe with my Contender Pistol in 7-30 Waters. Distances were 120 yds and 95 yds.

Sorry no pics but it was a good week.

The 5 pt was with my Sako 308. Sorry for the poor wordage. Just the doe was with the tender.
