Well guys I took my rifle down to the shop and I think she passed the test
I few of the guys were wondering about defiance actions and after looking over my rifle they are going to be ordering them :).
They were also very impressed with the Leica scope and I do believe that Daryl is going to try and order a few in.
My VX-6 still has not arrived but that is not as critical as before because of the help from Mike!

Blessings,
Dan

I can't tell you how pleased I am that you are pleased with that rifle, Dan. I think it will be a great addition to any safe.

Great rifles belong on rests or shoulders, DrMike---not in safes!

Touché! Well said.

Well, in my case, I do have big shoulders, but not that big! :)

I am really interested in Defiance actions for a couple of Tacticool builds I have scrambling around in my noggin... depending on action/magazine length, I could go with 7 WSM/SAUM; 6.5x47, 6.5 Creedmoor or .260; .243 AI; or .22-250 AI. Maybe a .338 Edge.

Kurt, I should imagine it will be necessary to pare down the list as builds for all of these may strain the marital bliss of your happy home. You really do run the gamut with the list you provide. I do know that the 7WSM is turning out to be one of my favourite cartridges, although the Creedmoor and/or the .260 are equally interesting.

That 7mm WSM is tops on my list :) I spoke with Jace the young smith from here in Regina. He advised that he is really anxious to try that particular project.
I told him that I would have to wait to see if I get another contract before doling out that kind of cash again.
I have to do some saving as DrMike has raised my expectations regarding load development and after seeing his set up I will have to pick up more equipment in order to accomplish that.

Blessings,
Dan

Note the "or" in there, Mike. The only way I could do all is if the Powerball numbers come in for me.

Just thought of another I'd like to try, but brass would be prohibitively expensive: 7mm Dakota.

Yeah, my "wanter" is operating overtime in recent days. My "getter" isn't doing quite as well.

LOL your not the only one my wanter does very well. My getter hasn't been in bad shape recently. I guess I can't complain too much.
