Details on this please?

I think the 7mm WSM will do it. I really like the 7mm caliber for some reason...especially when its a Model 70

I was going to pick up the FN 308, but when I found this...yeah. If it goes through I will be set fora while

I'm fixing to start working with the 140 TTSX in mine for this deer season. Hopefully it will stack them like the 162 Amax.

Does anyone know why Winchester only chambers this caliber in the coyote light and extreme weather? I'd love to get one in a sporter or featherweight!

Coyote came through, albeit a little more then what I intended to spend :(, especially after finding two on gunsamerica for an even better bargain...

Now I need to get out my sleeping system because once the sig. other finds out I will be sleeping outside

Sweet! Can't wait till you get to shooting it. Start stocking up on brass and dies...

Congratulations! You'll enjoy the rifle. Sleeping in the doghouse isn't so bad, once you remember to wear a flea collar. The rifle will make the grief worth your while

 I'm with Mike here. Not so bad once you get it trimmed out to your liking either!

I thought all Marines were required to spend time in the doghouse? It went with the territory.

Lol. I broke the news and she wasn't too pleased. But you only live once and sometimes when you find a sweat deal you have to take it.

I am cut off from big purchases for a while...but I still need to get some glass for the new toy ;-)

Well, she'll be very understanding about that. If she had bought a new dress, she'd need all the accessories. 8)

Congrats on the Model 70 Coyote! I hope it turns out to be everything you hoped for.

I've hunted the high country with mine a few times, and although not a lightweight "mountain rifle" it wasn't really too bad.

They have the potential to be excellent longish-range hunting rifles!

Regards, Guy

I do enjoy your photography, Guy. You bring out the best in your rifles.

Thanks guys. I find it interesting that the laminate stock can look so dark most of the time, yet when the sun strikes it fully, it almost glows with a sort of honey color.

It's a good rifle, though I can't say I've had any success on big game animals with it. Never seems to be in-hand when I finally locate a shooter-buck. Almost though, almost... it's time is coming!

I think the 7mm version AJ is getting will be superior as a long-range rifle due to the outstanding long-range bullets avail in that size. Even with simple 160's it should shine, let alone getting up into the real long & heavy 175's or heavier...

The WSM case is great to work with as well. Very different, and I think the accuracy potential is high. It rates a quality set of dies, and some experimenting with different bullets for best accuracy.

I hope so. I have a 7mm08 that shoots lights out already, and now this 7mmWSM should be all I need and then some for some time...until I find the right Model 70 in either .30-06 or .35 Whelen ;)

I set it up with the dealer to ship it to my FFL just a few minutes ago. I cant wait to lay eyes on her.
