Our local gun shop & indoor range started a new monthly match. It's available pretty much anytime they're open.

All from low ready and each is a 10 shot string of fire:

5yards in 5 seconds
7 yards in 7 seconds
10 yards in 10 seconds
15 yards in 15 seconds

40 rounds total. They've got the scores up on a billboard inside the range building. I walked in this morning and shot it with my 9mm Kimber 1911 and 124 gr factory ball ammo. Out of dozens of competitors I'm in third place after shooting today.

At the end of the month this match closes and a new one starts. Entering is only $5. Am having fun with this!

Photo of the Kimber just for reference. It shoots just fine.

Nice shooting Guy. That will keep you tuned up in addition to your pistol. I suspect you carry CCP all the time every day. It's nice to know you are dialed in. Sharp looking pistol by the way. Take a picture of your target next time for us to see.

Nice shooting Guy. I have an exact color and grips as your Kimber. Mine is a .38 Super Stainless Target II, and a ways back I had changed the grips with a Crimson Trace laser grip due to my aging eyes. I still have the original grips in a box somewhere. I have done the same for my .45 Kimber Team Match II until I got the Holosuns for both Kimbers.

Good shooting Guy. That will keep you warmed up for your HR-218 qualification. Question for you. I did not know that the gun you use for qualifying the HR-218 is the gun you have to carry. I always assumed it was any semi auto firearm. Tucked back in the rules and regulations is a comment that you have to carry the gun you qualify with. Have you heard this?
