I am interested in buying a new digital powder scale. What brand to you recommend? Pact, Lyman, RCBS, Dillon, or Hornady?

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

I have used both the Lyman and the RCBS. Each is good. I have no doubt that today, almost any of the digital scales will satisfy the requirements of a handloader. I note that some newer, more precise scales are coming on the market for handloaders. These are moving into the range of scientific scales that were available for a price to the scientific community for years. However, it is doubtful that such are necessary. Frankly, any of the scales you mentioned will satisfy your requirements. I would purchase on the basis of cost and local service should such be required.

I have an older first generation PACT digital scale. Very sensitive to any motion near it. Usually, it takes about 15 min. after turn-on before calibrating can be done, then it's good to go.
