Bought a Howa 1500 Mini barreled action in .223 to make a 6mm TCU. Bolted it into a B&C M40 and took it the range to practice social distancing. It shot several groups like this with my AR15 plinking ammo. Crap!thumbnail_IMG_0816.jpgThat's 10 shots out of a warm barrel!

Ha ha now you need another rifle as a donor since that one shoots great  great group.

You should know better! NEVER SHOOT the donor! Lucky you. Those Howa's are rumored to be nice rifles. Looks like you proved them right! CL

What a terrible start to your proposed build! Oh, well, there's always another donor.

I’ve also been really impressed with the howa mini. I bought a barreled action in 300 BLKOUT and a onyx chassis.

I’m betting your 223 will be equally impressive.

What is it they say about luck? "If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all." I guess you will just have to deal with your bad luck and find another donor.

Don't shoot the donor!

Nope!

You got to shoot the donor
or
you'll go the rest of your life thinking you should have shot the donor.
