Any one have any experience loading the 150grain e-tip in the 7mm Remington mag? More specifically using RL22? Nosler book does not list any thing and I went through several pages of searching no luck

Cory,

I tested the 150 gr 7mm E-Tip in my 280 AI, which is close to 7mm Rem Mag performance with very good results.

I did read your results which intresred me. I just know about where to start with rl22 in the rifle.

Well I shoot a 7Mag and my book shows this as follows,63 gr. IMR 4350 at 3248 FPS. Max;65gr.IMR4831 at 3240 FPS. Max. Both of these loads are for 150 gr. Nosler BT. You should be able to use these loads for the E-Tip

Use the same starting load as the Nosler manual but do not go beyond the midpoint of the powder charges listed. The 7mm Rem Mag is rated at 62,000PSI by sammi which all the manuals powder charges are based on so there is a little safety margin in a modern bolt rifle also compared to the cartridges that are already rated to 65KPSI.

That 150gr E-Tip would be a great all around bullet for the 7RM I think. Looking forward to seeing some data with it. Scotty
