Yes sir. She is one smooooth shooter.

With the 150 gr E-Tip at 2950 fps, it would cover most hunting in NA.

Yes JD388, at those velocities and accuracy you certainly could cover most hunting in NA and all bullets would preform well at those speeds. I have backed my 06 down from 3060fps with the 165gr bullet to 2953fps (This is the three shoot load that I posted lately).

I am under the impression from experience in the field that my 06 will cover my hunting in NA and I sure do love my rig at just under 7 pounds and it does shoot good. JD you really have a nice rig and it shoots as smooth as it looks.

I am a divided man!!!!!! I love my 06 and my 300Wby :) But I will say if left with the choice of only one to use I would use the Mark V 06 and only because I could push it to 300H&H velocities if I felt the game and conditions warranted it.

Now that said, I have tried to get groups under 3/10 of and inch (my requirements) with the E-Tip the same as I have with two other bullets and I just can't seem to tighten up the E-Tip groups with my 06. I have got them under an inch but was not happy with the velocities.

So I am going to trying them in my 300Wby after I do some up grading to the 300 after the first of the year. Maybe they will be the match for that rifle.
