elevation

I would compare the VELOCITY of your reloads from 800 feet absl to your Nevada location.

Your rile may like a particular velocity and the colder temperatures may have effected your MV???

The only mechanical difference that I can ever see would be the scope reticles distance from being centered. It is well know that scope reticle distances do change slightly when further away from the centering points of the reticle towards edge of field.

My own experience with elevation change in zero was sighting in at 5,000 ft. (Salt Lake Gun Club) and checking zero at hunting sight the next day (temp and humidity about the same) at 9,000 feet elevation and group being centered about 2 inches higher from 4,000 foot elevation sightin.
