Or maybe just more lies? The following is from a response my shooting buddy got for his query about the absense of powder. Take it for what you feel it's worth, or how many grains of salt you can tolerate..

A standard dealer can only have 300 lbs. of smokeless powder on site unless they have special storage. Each shipping company is limited to 100 lbs. of powder on a truck. I am sure you can do the math on how long it would take to replenish each store with the amount of dealers we have country wide. You can call it “Hoarding” or anything else that you want, but demand has outpaced supply 25 to 1. We sold and shipped more powder in the first 5 months of this year, than we did all of 2012. All of our powder manufacturers are running at full capacity and will hopefully catch up in the next year. We are doing all that we can to get powder out, because lets face it--that is why we are in the business. I highly recommend that you become more lenient on your powder selections. If you are running 2230 in a 223, then I would recommend using Accurate LT-32, 2015, 2200, 2460, 2495, 2520, or Ramshot TAC. Ramshot X-terminator and Accurate 2230 are the same powder, FYI; if you come across some X-Terminator. You can also check out www.gunbot.net, to notify you when a powder is in stock at certain dealers.
