Didnt feel much like fall with temps in the 80s but it was good to get out. About a week ago, I met up with a buddy and fished the Swan River. We fished for about 5 hours and caught 6 or 7 between the two of us. My fish handling skills were horrible today and all but one fish flopped back in the water before I could hold it for a picture. To me, not many things beat seeing a deep green hole and making that first cast not knowing what you might hook into. A bonus on the day was seeing more wolf tracks than I have ever seen in my life. So I plan on going back this fall or winter and seeing if I can call in 1 or 5!

Nice photos! Looks like a mighty fine fishing trip.

I don't seem to take many photos while fishing. Seems like I can either fish, or take photos. If I do both, I'm afraid the camera will end up in the water!

Best of luck on the wolves this winter!

Guy

Thank you! It was fun, although very smoky. I had a GoPro strapped to my chest and my phone was in my pocket. I only turned the GoPro on a couple times and only took two pictures all day. I was enjoying the fishing instead of worrying about getting a good picture. I had a couple really close calls trying to take a picture of myself holding bass this spring while standing in waist deep water...phones are too expensive to replace so I was always nervous. Guess I need to invest in a LifeProof case for my new phone. Had one for my old Iphone and it was awesome! It could be totally submerged and be fine!

A day spent on a lovely river catching the local piscatorial residents adds years to life. Beautiful pictures of a great day. Bad year for fishing for me. I haven't been out once, and a licence only costs me $1! All my tackle stayed dry.

That looks like a really nice river to fish and beautiful rainbows. It's nice to see you posting more again, your threads are always interesting.
