I've seen in a few online sites that the Federal Copper bullets are actually made by Nosler. Can anyone confirm whether that's the case or not? Thanks.

They look like Barnes TTSX to me. I have a box for my 7mag, 150 grain. They shoot very well in my savage.

They used to load Barnes but I'm pretty sure the Trophy Copper is an E-Tip with extra grooves cut into it.

This is my understanding as well, Gerry. I used a Trophy Copper in a 338 Federal to drop a moose two years ago. It sure looked like an E-Tip when I recovered the bullet.

I read that they were Nosler e-tips with grooves. Supposedly, Nosler can not market them without running into copyright issues with Barnes. It was also stated that someone other than Nosler was milling in the grooves after receiving them from Nosler, thus avoiding the copyright issue.
Note: This is what I "read" on the internet so you should only give it as much credence as it's worth.

Can you show us a pic of the recovered moose bullet? Those E-tips are awesome bullets.

Nice! I remember when that moose got the good news!

Looks like that bullet works danged well in the 338... Makes me hungry just looking at that rascal laying there!
