Heck, you might as well sell me that M70 300 RUM you have, you know, since you have all of these Remingtons to work with now! Scotty

Nah, I know you are too delicate to be shooting those nasty old RUMs. You said so. Just trying to protect our little noslerreloading.com hothouse flower!

Don't sweat buddy, I would put a Vias and Limbsaver on it, post haste! What a long range rig that would be!

Ah well, I guess I will have to find my own M70 300 magnum... Probably won't be a RUM though... Scotty

It'll almost certainly end up with a Decelerator on it, but I hate brakes with a burning passion.

Haven't taken any pics yet, but I slapped an FX III 6x42 with an LR Duplex in Talley LW lows on the .243.

Funny you should talk about most Customs, based on the 700 platform, that's true.
Remington 700 is a lot like a Jeep. People that like them, Like Them.
You always hear, "You can't beat a Remington 700" Just like a Jeep.
"You can't beat a Jeep"
All you got to do is put a small block Chevy in front of a Turbo 400 with a NP 205 transfer case, and change the front axle to a Dana 44 with cross over steering, and a 10 bolt rear end behind, and fully box the frame.

Ya, you can't beat a Jeep.

I'll stick with my Model 70's.

Point made, but I prefer to drop a Ford 5.0L, NV4500 tranny, and leave the Dana 300 transfer case. Prefer D44 diffs front and rear, unless you are running serious tires or stupid horsepower, in which case I might think about a 9" or D60 rear.

I really have been scouring the want ads for M70s, I swear I have! I'd like to build SS CRF M70s in 7mm Mashburn Super and .358 Norma.

Well, there's really nothing WRONG with latching onto a couple more Remington 700's...

I like the way you think! Having had a 1977 CJ5 that sucked alot of my young money out of my pockets with upgrades, I got smart on the next Jeep and bought the Rubicon. Unfortunately, the family kinda outgrew it, but I will have another. The Rubicon was built right, from the get go... Just like the M70's! Scotty
