Finally got my two game cameras set out a couple of weeks ago and checked them today. It took this guy a week to find the chum but he was sure loving the food the last week. Nice 8 pt (4x4) for the westerners still in velvet. Here are a couple of pics of him.

I had a button buck, a spike, does, and a spotted yearling on camera so I am at least in a good zone for activity.

I had a huge gobbler visiting as well so I know where I'll be in the spring. :)

Looks like you're in the right neighborhood Scott. That fellow looks to be about 3 yrs. old. His Papa is probably around there somewhere.

I will be hunting in AL. for 3 days starting Nov. 19th. Will be just south of Montgomery on 6000 acre private plantation.

There are some big deer in the black belt region south of Montgomery! You should have a great time that opening weekend!

When I saw the pictures, my first thought was "I wish he was a year or two older". He'd be super nice in another 2-3 years! I've got a couple of bucks on another camera but I had to leave the card in that one since I only had one substitute card with me. The other deer is a 9 pt but has a wicked/odd looking right side. I hope to get his pics up in a couple of weeks when I get back to the camp to swap out batteries and SD cards.

Scott,
Nice Buck, send him up north here to Tennessee! Nice Pics buddy. 2011 season is looking good for you.

Don

Great pictures Scott. I like to see all the trail camera pictures early on in the Fall. Really starts to get me pumped for you all. I think the weather is supposed to drop into the 40's this Saturday which is the opener of the archery buck season here in Northern Va. Should be a good day for the the boy and I to get into our treestand. Scotty

Thanks fellas. I wanted to go check my cameras this past weekend but couldn't get away to the camp. I plan to go down this weekend because I know the batteries will need changing. I'll post most pics if I've got some new deer on them.

We've got 2000 acres with about 80% hardwoods and 10 members. We've got 23 green fields with shooting houses but I just love hunting the hardwood bottoms and ridges.
