Saw my first buck of the year last night. Probably 6 inches of new growth. Nice little Blacktail Buck, hanging with 5 does.

We just saw a road kill with 3-4" spikes on the way home too Bill. Should be getting some pictures on the trail camera.

Cool.
No bucks yet but I did see a fawn 2 days ago.

I was out for a bear hunt mid-week. I saw quite a few mule deer, including several bucks. I also saw a good looking bull elk. It is always fun to see the animals as they begin to move about during the spring months.

I have not seen a fawn as yet, I am sure they are in the heavy cover. Did see a turkey on my morning hike setting on a bunch of baby chicks. The buck is currently laying in the neighbors field, my "good" bino's show him as at least a forked horn.

We had a herd of seven deer in our yard and the yard next door a couple of times recently. Two of the deer are bucks, one looks like a yearling the other is a mature 5-6 year old male. The mature buck was a 4x4 last year. My wife has gotten out the coyote urine to keep them off her flowers!
