Went out yesterday morning on a buddys farm with another buddy of mine. He is back from school for thanksgiving so what better way to spend it then looking for some dogs?

Only seen the one, but he was the chosen unlucky one. I had the new stevens 243 with me and some factory 100g core lokts. I'm just shooting them to get the brass. I have some 55g nbt's loaded up, but they weren't sighted in for them.

Anyhow, this particular coyote was only about 50 yards from the road. When I stopped the truck, he knew the jig was up. He hightailed it quartering away and I jumped out and led him just a bit and touched off. He rolled at the shot and got back up. I put another one in him and he dropped again. As I was going to get him, he got up about 40 yards from me and started running again. This time I put one right up his tailpipe, he dropped again but was still not dead. Think I got 4 100g core lokts in him and he still wasn't finished.

Great fun anyways.

Yotes can be one tough animal, this past week while we were deer hunting my nephew hit a large male with a 160AB out of his 7 and we had to trail him to dispatch him.

Blessings,
Dan

You might need to step up to your EDGE for those tough Coyotes! Great shooting, cool story. Scotty

Remmy,

I'm with POP.... good shooting ! To hit one of those buggers on the run no matter how close is always great !
