Nice! Give us the breakdown.

Rem 700 with a Pac-Nor #6 1-9" 28" SS Super Match Grade barrel throated to 3.45". Tubbs recoil lug with a Jewell trigger factory set at 1.5 lbs. Mounted in a Bobby Hart Accublock Thumbhole Sporter in Coffee.

28" tube huh?

You will be getting 7mm remmy velocities for sure.

Got the the low down on the rifle and I like it. We now need some test results!

Will get them in 2-3 weeks gotta get glass and I work for the next 8 days.

I'm with Brian, I'll shoot it for you after he's done with it! Now what scope is going on it? Do we get to help? :p  What is the FIRST bullet you are going to shoot out of that wonderful 280?

Wow really nice scope. When you get it mounted, let us drool on some more pictures please! Man tough call on the bullets. Regular 280 (which I love) or the AI with a 24", I'd probably go 140 gr. AccuBond, but with that 28" tube and 1-9 twist, my vote goes to the 160 gr. AccuBond for initial load testing. That being said, those long lean 150 gr. E-tips after the barrel has been carefully broken in might just be THE bullet. Faster , flatter, and low to no bullet weight loss. A laser is born!

That 90 gr. E-tip in my son's 6mm has simply been amazing!

Very nice rifle.

Congrats,

Really nice long range stick you have there. Can't wait for the range report on it. The .280 AI is a chambering that I really like. I have and older .30-06 R700 ADL that I may do a "makeover" once I am done with the two other projects I'm working on right know.

Very nice looking. Glad for you that your build has been completed. Looking forward to the range report!

Thanks guys! It was really cool to say that I did some of the work on it. I will post some pictures of it when I get some glass on it and some range reports soon I have a feeling its going to shoot like a dream come true. I wish every rifle I had had a trigger like that so crisp clean and smooth I think that's the best part of the whole rifle!

I'd look at Scirroco's, Matrix, Bergers, and Amax's too if your going to stretch it's legs but that depends on what your shooting too.

Very nice rifle Jake. Can't wait to see what it does out on the killing fields!

160 AB's should be screamers out of that long tube for sure, and like IdahoCTD said, take a look at that Hornady AMax as a good range bullet too. They shot pretty well in my little 7WSM... Plus, they are pretty inexpensive!
