First project complete

Very handsome rifle Jake. I'm glad you worked out the mounting issue.

Jake,
Murphy went from your place to mine  . I did the same thing with the new Mod 70 300RUM.I don't have any left hand bits but I have a gunsmith 2 miles away. All's well that ends well! Just mounted up the Bushnell 6500 2x16 mildot on it to get a break in done.
Glad to see your project coming to fruition and can't wait to see you and it shoot some little bugholes! Congrats!

What are you shooting out of the 300 for break in Scott? That should be one far reaching combo..

Scotty,
Just received my first of three orders from SPS. Part of this shipment was 200 .308 BTs. I'll use these to break in the 300Rum and work up a load for that '06 Supergrade. I think the RUM is destined for 200gr NABs and 208gr AMAXs. I have a whole slew of 165gr NABs for the '06. Just got the RUM brass today as well as dies, brass and bullets for the Whelen. Just need the rifle and there's going to be a whole lot of shooting going on! 8)

Got 50 rounds loaded 10 light 120's for sight in. 10-120 pressure tests 10-140 pressure tests 10-160 pressure tests and 10-175 for pressure tests. If this gun is anything close to the other Pac-nors I've seen I should get a .5 MOA group during break-in.

Stole them from work for the night. Totally surprised got it drilled out almost perfectly centered.

Another beauty shown, it must be in the air. Look forward to the range report and more photos :)

Blessings,
Dan
