Well I can hardly believe it. It appears I will be going to the Range in the morning, weather permitting, it's been raining alot! My first trip this year!

Anyway, going to check the POI on the 30-06 with the 165 BT, next onto the 35 Whelen with the 225 AB, then check the 300 RUM with the 200 AB to get ready for the upcoming Colorado Elk Hunt in November. 8)

Lately I've been setting up tree stands for the 2014 Rifle Deer Season on my Hunt Lease, checking Trail Cams etc.

Don,
Let us know how your range trip went, OK?

Trust everything proves acceptable at the range. It is definitely satisfying when rifles continue to do what we expect of them. Good luck on the elk hunt that is coming up very quickly.

Thanks you. Will let you know how it went, now if I can only do my part tomorrow everything should be good.

Doesn't look good getting to the range today. Overcast with 80% chance of T-storms and rain.
Not my cup of Tea shooting under a tin roof with Lightning and all. :(

Could make things interesting, to be certain.

I got out after all. Just had to get some rust off. For the most part the guns are still doing well, not groups like I'd like but for not shooting all year and raining, I'm good. will revisit the range next Sat. again. It felt good to be there.

I try not to let too much time pass between range trips.
For me going to the range replaces going to the bar and other tomfoolery now that I'm a respectable gentleman. [emoji6]

Yep I got out to the range the other day to check out what I am taking on my deer hunting trip this year. Shot my 308 rifle once dead on 3" high at 100. Shot my 264 Win mag one time and it was dead on 3" high at 100 yards. Shot my 25-06 4 times just to be shooting it, ragged hole dead on 3" high at 100 yards. Shot my T/C Contender 14" 30-30AI 10 times just to practice shooting it. It is dead on at 100 yards. All I will need to do is reload what I shot up and I will be ready to go.

Glad to see guys getting out to the range. I always enjoy the range!! When I am shooting well it just builds the confedience.
Normally there is some great conversations as well.
Thank you for the post!

Blessings,
Dan

Update on the Range trip,
Got out this past Saturday with weather a lot better. Shooting was done at 100 yards from the bench. The 30-06, put two touching 1" above the bullseye with the 165 BT, same place as last year. The 35 Whelen, well I loaded up some 225 Partitions vs Accubonds used last year. Put two 3/4" apart each side of the bullseye. Both guns are good to go now.

I'm excited to see how the 225 Partitions perform on Deer this year. Hoping for a little quicker expansion even though the Accubonds performed very good previously.
