Flatlander going to the Moutains.

I not sure this excursion is best described as an adventure or an escapade. In any case it sounds like a hoot. I know ya'll are gonna have a blast. Good luck.

Thanks Bruce, I am really looking forward to this.Too get to spend quality time with two men that I respect a great deal is always a blessing.
I am not sure how many of you on the forum have had the privilege to hear DrMike preach God's word it is very informative and enjoyable. I will get to be at 2 of his services which is a real bonus to me.
Thanks to all of you on the forum as this place has great knowledge on many things not just in reloading & guns but in life period (y)!

Blessings,
Dan

Boy I would like to be a flea in the back pack so I could start you all to scratching.  Good luck to all and I don't have to tell you to have fun because I know the fun has already started. (y)

DrMike, you forgot about your grandson  is he not a lefty as well. I believe by the end of this adventure you will be selling off your collection and starting over from the left side !! With all these lefties around you I think that God is trying to tell you something special is going to happen (y)!

Blessings,
Dan

Nope, didn't forget; I was trying to ignore the fact that you are ganging up on me. Besides, I'll take Noah out on opening day and see if we can't surprise a young moose.

Wow! Now that sounds like an excellent trip for sure. Bruce mighta nailed it calling it an escapade over an adventure, but tomato vs tomAto...

Gerry, I hope you run some 225 ABs. I've been sorta thinking I might try them again in the Newton. I haven't tried them since I found a load but they run out at 2950 or and I think they'd lay a whooping on moose or elk.

Hope Mike carries that big Norma. Thinking that may make a decent impression on em...

Pray for ME, Vince. Two lefties messing with my mind! Sounds positively scary. Oops. I forgot I was speaking with another lefty. :?
Will pray for you from the left side. :)

Dan I have 3 boxes of 225's so am good there. In the next month I'll do some more work with them, had a promising load with IMR 8208 at a little under 2700 fps, we will see what RL 15 will do. I'm thinking the new IMR 4166 might be another great Whelen powder, maybe some day.....

Scotty the moose in my avatar thinks 225 gr AB works great ;)

With Dan and DrMike it should be a very fun trip.......

Thanks Vince and to all the rest of you thanks as well.

I will make sure I take lots of pictures for you all to see.

I thought you'd hammered a moose with that bullet Gerry. Forgot cause you've been dirt napping everything with the 200 AB so often!

I'm jealous. You all are going to have a great hunt.

We'll save a spot for you, Scotty. 'Course, I'll have to adopt you. Don't know how you're gonna like that.

I think Scotty would really like that, model 70's as far as the eye can see........

Not to mention M 94's :)

The 225's were my favorite but those 200's were too good not to try and they sure have been working well. I really like both of them a lot.......

gerry either bullet is going to do a big up job on a Moose (y)!!

Blessings,
Dan

But Mike's got the 9.3 it will put a whooping on anything that walks.

I am hoping that all 3 of us will use the 35 Whelen just to keep it in the family !

Blessings,
Dan

I am struggling to decide what to carry. Like the Whelen, but the Brenneke and the Norma each need a blooding. (Well, something other than one puny little whitetail.)

Tough choice, no bad options there. I plan on carrying both the 270 Win and 35 Whelen, probably will carry the Whelen more. Been really liking the 270 Win 160 gr Partition combo a lot but it is tough to beat the 225 gr AccuBond in a Whelen though.....

gerry that is a good idea . I have not yet bloodied the 280AI and a Bull Moose would be a great start on this new rifle. Considering I am still waiting to shoot a Bull Moose never have knocked one down to date :(.

Blessings,
Dan

Bring them both Dan, either will work quite nicely. Good to have a backup gun with although you could also use one of mine if needed.
