Just what I needed, another .300 Magnum.

I don't know who's idea it was to put a tiny little recoil pad on a fire-breathing .30, but it doesn't really look like it'll do much to cut down felt recoil:

Here's three of my five .300 Maggies:

Interestingly, also half of my M70s.

Well, it don't matter, just pick up a 300mag and never worry, it will get the job done. Sometimes redundancy is good

Yep, just need to find a .308 Norma, a .300SAUM, and build a .30-338, and I'll be all set!

Well I think you are just about covered there  Glad you like your magnums :)

Blessings,
Dan

I have been trying to buy a .243 for about a year and a half, and other things keep popping up!

Curiously, when I started my search for a .243, I was going to get the cheapest new Remington I could find, for a .260 donor. Now, I'm looking at pretty M70s, for an eventual 6mm donor!

Am I correct in your 1/2 my Model 70 Picture that a 721 Remington jumped into the picture.? One of my 300 mags is a 50's era 721 bored out to 300 B. I pillar bedded the stock earlier this year and have been so consumed with the STW have not had enough time to really play with it. What little I have have showed a significant reduction in group size. However 8 inches to 4 is still not quite getting it. Nice rifles

Yep, NH .300RUM Sporter, NH .300WM Stainless Classic, and a 721 .300 H&H. Not shown are the .300WSM SC M70 EW, and M700 Classic .300Weatherby.

:? ,,,When I read the title, I had something completely different in mind.
But rendundancy in guns is a good thing, and a nice rifle that is!

Nice!

I need a 300 Mag in my safe, just because...

"Department of Redundancy Department?" Even your departments are experiencing redundancy! Rifle calibre redundancy is perfectly normal for those suffering RADD. Just relax and enjoy the condition. Word redundancy? Now, that may require therapy.

There you go again bringing up that disorder again!!!  I don't have it (  )

Disorder? What disorder? It is not a deviancy if everyone else on the forum is acquiring more rifles. It is perfectly normal to duplicate calibre as you build your collection.

See I knew that there was some disease that caused me to buy that last rifle. Thank goodness I now have some thing else to blame it on. A mental disease. Do you suppose I could be eligible for federal aid as a veteran I should get special consideration. I think maybe the whole thing may have started as a child in the playground at school , when johnny---------------------------------------- great topic!
Its nice to have a great bunch of folks whom understand each other (to a certain extent) to chat with about the outdoors, fireams and whatever, and be silly once in a while.

BK most assuredly has RADD! Rifle Addiction Deficit Disorder

Elkman I am afraid by reading what you stated, that you also might very well have the affliction also. You need to read the RADD original post. I detailed how this sickness came to enter into my life as a young man and it's progression. I can tell even by reading just the snipit of information you divulged, that it might be too late for you as well!

I have to admit I stole the line from ESPN's 'Sportscenter'.

Nice, time for 200 grain AB and retumbo or RL25....

Thanks, Rod.

Nah, I'm totally screwed buying bullets... .17CF, .204, .224 fast and slow, 6mm, .25, 6.5, .277, .284 fast and medium, all varieties of .308, and .35.
