Geese!

Canadian geese are like pests around here. During the nuisance season you can shoot 5 per day. Each morning 3 of us would go out and knock down 15 birds in less that 15 minutes after daylight. We would breast out all the birds.

My Browning 10ga magnum autoloader proved to be a terror in the corn fields.

I ate enough goose to grow feathers. The boys in the gunshop had all the goose breast they wanted. All in all, the Terriayki (sp) marinated goose breast was the favored method of preparing them.

DrMike, Gladly trade goose for elk

Charlie, Sounds like your goose seasons is going well. Almost got a 10 ga a few years ago just for goose hunting. Always wanted to see if it was a big difference over 12ga 3 1/2 inch.

Well, if you were anywhere nearby, I'd work out a trade. As it is, the USA doesn't look kindly on shipping such meats across the border. However, if you should ever take a trip to Alaska by motor home or automobile, you'll likely pass right through Dawson Creek, and I'd treat you to some of the game taken from our neck of the woods.

I love hunting geese just can't figure out how to cook the darn things. We have a jerky recipie that is o.k. but dang you go out a couple times and kill 20 geese, that is ALOT of jerky!!

I have grilled them with italian dressing with BBQ sause. I even ground them and made them into chili. My preacher loved that but I could still taste goose.

I love to hunt waterfowl though, here is me and two buddies on New Years Day 08'
