A phone call to a guide got me a date the following week to go up there for another hunt. I had hunted there last year for a red stag cow with the 6.5 Creedmoor. The red stag cow meat was so tasty that we want more of those. He says there are some red stags roaming about plus some larger game. Hopefully there is a trophy bull.
Loaded some some of those bad boys today, RL-22 and CCI 250 primers. Have not used the 300 Win Mag much, and time to dust it off and take it to the range. Going to test it to 400 yards when the weather clears up. I remembered it shot so well at 300 yards with 180 Ballistic tips and Accubonds and have not used it since I was hooked to the 6.5 Creed and the .308 on deer hunting.
