You were in the competition. There wasn't much separating the top five shooters. Your 13 Xs was pretty impressive.

Very nice shooting DF! Looks like the top 5 was all pretty close! Scotty
I thought I was 4th. I didn't know that a 50 shooter snuck behind me. :x

DF - well done sir...we may all need to come see you for some lessons. Interesting to look at the calibers being used for the competition. Do most or all of these rifles have some form of a muzzle brake on them?

The wind was pretty calm that day. Even the 308 shooters had no problem keeping up with the big boys. Putting 50% of my shot into a 10" circle at 1000 yards was a milestone for me that's for sure. I don't know if I will be able to do it again.

Thanks for the kind word Ack.

Yes! all of the big boomer wears muzzle brakes. The 1st place finisher is our Match director. He shoot the Sako TRG 42. The 2nd place is Ray Regannian of Peerles Rifle company. He is a well known builder of fine African rifle. He shoot his custom 338 Norma Magnum. The Third place finisher shoots an Armalite AR-30 I believe.

Desert Marksmen Rifle club range gets really windy most of the time. I tried my 308 there and it's very challenging. You have to shoot big caliber pretty much to be competitive, although my friend son won a few months ago shooting 257 Weatherby.
