Well, I got out yesterday and tried loads with the old rifle. I loaded up some 150 grain Hornady SST's and some AA2520. I really just looked over QL, picked a powder I wasn't using in anything else and loaded three different charges. Just wanted to get the peep sight zeroed some and see if the old rifle still shot well.
I started out at 25 yards with them and got it pretty close.
Then, I took it out to 200 yards and started shooting. I need to figure out a better bullseye for shooting iron's than the orange pastys, but it worked decent enough.

The first group was the lower right, then I made a dope change, upped the load 1 grain and shot the upper triangle.
After that I shot the next two charges of 42 grains of AA2520.
I was pretty happy overall with the rifle. Pretty sure the old rifle will make it to the woods this Fall. Feeds and shoots real nice.
I then took three shots with the remaining rounds at 50 yards, from the kneeling

Pretty happy with it. Might just leave it as it and shoot it the way he did. He didn't have much trouble taking moose, elk, bears and a slew of deer with the old rifle.
