So I have been trying for some time now with RL-22, RL-25, and 7828 SSC to get the 105 A-Max, 105 Nosler custom Comp, and some 95 VLDs to shoot. None of them shot very great. Spent a bunch of time online doing some research (6mmbr.com is a great site as well) and found that alot of people were having good results with H1000. Remingtonman uses H1000 is his 7 mag, and 338 edge and was kind enough to let me borrow some for a few tests. First bullets to get the H1000 test was the 105 A-Max. Started with some below max QL numbers of 47.5 and 48 grains loaded to the lands. Right out of the gate I got this group with 47.5 grains.
This got me to thinking that maybe H1000 would work with my nosler 105 Custom Comps. and my Berger 95 VLDs. Fisrt group out of the gate wasn't to impressive, but the next load of 47.5 gr H1000 made this group. Shot two more of the 105 A-Max just to confirm my zero before heading to my 1K gong. Never would of thought that they would of shot in the same place as the Noslers but they did!
Took the 105 NCC load and made them a bit longer and got this group this morning. they are right at 2.800" 47.5 H1000 Fed 210, Nosler brass. Can't wait to get some H1000 on Monday and load up a bunh of these and shoot them at 1K!
The 95 VLDs didn't do as well but I havn't played with the seating depth yet, but I'm sure I an get them to do a bit better.
