Guns for women

We really are living in the salad days...

Good accurate rifles with a variety of stock lengths and ammunition and bullets that perform. I've historically had a selection of the big guns but as I get older and (debatably) wiser...those mild mannered cartridges just keep growing on me. My best caribou was taken with a .308 and my son dropped his with the 7-08. A good friend of mine knocked a great moose spinning with her .308 and another walked a single .25 cal TSX though BOTH shoulders of a bull elk...at 350 yards.

With performance like this...the fire breathers don't hold as much appeal.

I agree that with the bullets and powder that are now made you can take most game with the 25cal of even 6mm, but as DrMike has stated many times it is good to have some mass behind those bullets.
If my granddaughter starts to take a interest I will definitely look at the 7mm-08 or the swede .

Blessings,
Dan

Jamila, I got your PM and answered back. Thank you for the explanation.

I would guess that Kristy Titus has killed her share of elk. She has been the host of the RMEF show on TV for awhile now and kills an elk almost every show.
