Has anyone got their paws on 30cal 190g ABLRs?

Just wondering if these have hit the shops anywhere yet?

I think the 190g ABLR has the potential to be the ultimate 30-06 big game bullet. 2700+ fps should be a snap especially in a 24 inch barrel. The numbers for retained energy are very impressive even if the coefficients are a little below published data.

I think they'll be a while before they hit the gunshops yet here. Looking forward to hearing any reports. :)

Has anyone done anything with the 190 gr. Hornady SPBT? I tried a few in my 30-06 that has a 1 in 12" twist 24" barrel and the one test I did the rifle seemed to like them. FWIW the average velocity was 2640 FPS with an ES 22 FPS. Brass was Winchester, Winchester standard WLR primer and the charge was 53.6 gr. of W760. Pressures seemed to be reasonable. I do believe 2700+ FPS would be doable. 8)

No Paul but my 30-06 loves the 180g BTSP version at around 2780fps. Mine has a 24 inch barrel with a 1-10 twist.

That should be an awesome bullet in the 30-06 and 300WSM.. Figure 2700 for the 30-06 and probably around 2900 for the WSM.. Should carry alot of power out pretty far...

I have been watching every day for them and also for the 6.5 129's. I want to try the 190's in the 300WM and try the 6.5's in the 260 which is almost done.

I have tried them in a 30-06 and 308 Norma Mag, I got about the same speed you did in the 30-06 with H 4350 easily and accurate too. It has been a long time since I had the Norma but I do remember it being accurate. A sleeper bullet IMO especially in a 30-06 and the smaller 300 mags.
