Shoot accurately for them? The 142 6.5 shot okay out of my 264 Winchester magnum but never any other combination in any one of my rifles. Reminds me of the Hornady interbond those did not shoot in any of my guns either neither did the GMX as opposed to the barnes x series

I’ve never tried the ABLR in any 6.5 I’ve owned Fotis, so can’t help you there man. I can agree to the GMX though. Never could get those to shoot anything resembling a group in six different 6.5mm rifles.

I have tried them in 3 different , 7 mm rifles with less that stellar results. Occasionally i can get a 1.5 MOA group, but not consistently. The AB's do better. Right now if anyone cares my .308 Shoots the Nosler Custom Comp into dime sized groups. This is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned.

I thought the 150 gr. 7MM ABLRs would be a good choice for use in the 7x57. So far, groups have been way too large in three different 7x57 rifles plus a .280 Rem. Groups have run from 3" to sometimes 5" depending on which rifle. Right now I'd be more than happy if I could get 1.5" on a consistent basis. If they're as frangible as some people say, they should be a good fit for the 7x57. I'll keep messing with them off and on. I may reach nirvana yet.

.75 moa in my 280 Ackley... same as every other load I've ever shot in that rifle, that's with 168's.

Not much development went into that load, just RL 26 and loaded to 3.34".

I just recently picked up 200 of the 142gr 6.5 ABLR from Shooters Pro Shop a few weeks ago. I've yet to try them so I can't comment on them. I'm hoping they shoot as well as the 143gr ELD-X does. I'll be loading them in a 6.5 creedmoor.

Those of you who have done load development, does the ABLR typically like to jump or did you start just off the lands?

one target above has a .050 jump , the other has a .070 jump .

I've loaded the ABLR bullets in several rifles with everything between .010" - .100" and have not had any luck with them. Interestingly enough, the plain old AccuBond shoots very well in all of my rifles and requires very little load development.

This is rifle and my cousins 28 Nosler are all I have had them really perk in. But I will say, in this gun, I won't be changing from them.

I believe if you give them 70 thou to start and if you're using enough twist they come around better. At least in these two instances. I tried them a bunch when they first came out in my 270 and 7 WSM and never saw anything great.

Oh, I lied, I have a Tikka 270 Win which hammers with the 150 ABLR's. If it wasn't a darned Tikka I'd probably use it a ton!
