It was rainy and windy on Saturday morning..
He was nestled up in the trees about 100 yards out, frozen still, quartering towards me.
I only saw him because I was glassing hard... even when I saw him I watched him and another buck for 10 minutes. They did not move. Finally, he turned his head sideways and I made the decision.
Sent a 168g AMAX through the base of the neck, ran about 30 yards.
