Yep, I agree, 48 grains now shoot a five shot group with that load and confirm it and your done.

well, I did just as you suggested(actually 2 5 shot groups)....and it was not too good.....bout a 2" group.....shots 1-3 were at about 3/4" but 4 and 5 went in opposite directions...LOL...second group was scattered all over.

Maybe this one likes to be shot dirty, the real good 48gr group was at the end of the days session.

To be continued....

Foul your bore with at least five to ten shots before you shoot for group. Also, you are describing what might be neck tension causing the problem. If it continues as described above then invest in a Sinclair Standard Neck Turning Tool # NT-1000

With appropriate mandrel

Don't let go of that load, because your above evidence of working up to the load show great promise and that three shot group might be for real. Also, use Nosler brass if you can and when you get it don't resize the new Nosler brass load it as is.

Thought I would give you guys an update on my Bob.......

here is the last group I shot to verify the load (110ab/45.0 h4831sc/cci200/nosler brass)

As you can see, just over 2800fps.....

Here is how she is gonna ride into the woods....Leupold VX-7 2.5-10

Now to get a big ole buck give me a chance to see what she will do!

It looks as if you found the sweet spot. That is indeed a good looking rig. Congratulations.

Welcome Double_D: I run a little lighter in my Robert's loads: 100 Partitions over 45.0 grs of IMR 4350. Just over 3000 fps but very accurate load for me in the past. I am just starting load development for my Browning custom. Let us know if we can help.
