Drove up to the upper ranch to see what's been going on. Took my new spotting scope, forgot the camera attachment. Found three WT bucks pushing 170.
Heard a bull bugle behind me and walked over the ridge to look into the next canyon.
I may have missed some moving into their bedding area, the bugle I heard didn't seem to match the small raghorn I saw. I counted 105 cows and calves, no spikes and the one raghorn.
A spooky bull to cow ratio but there hasn't been any snow up high, hopefully the Bulls are coming.

That all sounds promising. If there isn't that much snow at higher elevations, I can see the bulls staying high while the cows and calves migrate to the lower elevations.

Snowing like crazy here in Washington's Cascades now, all of it at up over 3,000 feet or so though.

That sounds real encouraging. Particularly if you were seeking a nice whitetail buck!!!

Good luck on the big bull, I suspect you're right about the bugle not matching the raghorn...

Snowing in the Blue mountains this morning. Looks like there is snow on the upper ranch. We still have a few cow tags to fill, might have to get back up there.:)
