I reload for the .30-30, and was wondering what would be the lightest Nosler spitzer ballistic tip bullet recomended for Whitetails. I've noticed velocities nearing 2600 fps in 125 gr bullets and near 2700 fps in 110gr bullets.

What type of rifle are you loading for?? DON`T use spitzer bullets in tubular mag lever actions.
With that I`d use the 150 gr as the lightest BT. The cartridge isn`t a long range proposition to start with and a lighter bullet at higher vel won`t help the killing power. The others are IMO more of a varmit bullet although at 30-30 vel the 125gr may work fine.

Should have said: NEF sb2 single shot rifle.

I have received many calls from very satisfied hunters using the
125 BTs on whitetails, the load data is in the handgun section of our guide.
Your velocities will be higher due to the longer barrel, appx. 20 FPS per inch.
HAPPY HUNTIN.
