Weatherby Predator in 22-250

Scope is a Simmons 24X fixed Targer/Silhouette scope I use to have on my Silhouette Rifle.

Hope to shoot it in tomorrow....

Pretty good looking setup, Mortis. Congratulations. It should be interesting to see what she'll do for you.

Nice!

What twist does your barrel have?

Very cool! Now that is a cool rig! Looking forward to hearing what it does on the range.

When that factory barrel burns out - consider staying with .22-250, but going with a FAST twist, like 1:8 or so... A buddy did that to shoot the long 80 grain .224" bullets... What a long-range zinger it proved to be! He took home some gold with it...

Thanks gents.....

Actually got it for my grandson's.... easier on their young shoulders then even the 243...

Factory twist is 1:14.... so lightweights for now....

Just picked up some 50 & 55 Noslers.... and I have some 55 Sierra JHP's left over from my silhouette (Hornet) days.

will post range pics as soon as I can find paper with it.

That would be ALOT of fun! I would love to be able to shoot 75-80 grain bullets out of mine. Talk about a fun, long range shooting machine!

OHHHH!!!!'

Forgot to mention.... it's was New In Da Box...

well heck.........

I've had 3 different scopes on the rifle and have yet to get on too dial in properly.

This bases are Millets..... which I have no complaint about, but over the weekend I ordered a one piece 20MOA base from Evolution Gun Works.

Also order a new scope just for grins..... a Weaver Kaspa 4-16 X 44 Side Focus.

Now if I can get a few dry days, I'll get it set up and on the range. I PROMISE!!!

We need the rain, but it sure messes with range days.

That is a good looking rifle :)
I hope photos & a range report will be coming soon.

Blessings,
Dan

Mortis,

Keep your eyes open for some .224 64 gr BSB bullets. They work just fine in a 1:14 twist and penetration is impressive.

I know I must be missing the obvious....but who makes the BSB??

Can't find any data in my books on the projo...

The .224 64 gr BSB (Bobded Solid Base) is a new bullet Nolser introduce earlier this year. It was designed for a Gov't agency and is only available as seconds from Shooters Pro Shop.
