I was a little hesitant to post these up, lest you all think I'm a rifle slut. Then I realized, I am a rifle slut. CZ .416 Rigby (thanks TRIC) and a Ruger Hawkeye All Weather in .308.

So now, from my list of all time most desirable cartridges, I have the Swift, 6mm, .25-06, .300 H&H, Whelen, and Rigby. Still to go: Triple Deuce, .250 Savage, .257 Roberts, .264 Win Mag, 7x57, .280, 8mm Rem Mag, .375 H&H, and .404 Jeffery.

And now that I think about it, as long at Fotis is around, I'll always have somebody around who has RADD worse than me.

Kurt, I'm booting myself for not making a play for that 416. It really was a great deal on a really impressive cartridge.

I have that same Ruger. Pretty sweet little rifle. The wife claims it as hers but I have used it a few times and it's a great carrying little rifle.

Now, the 416. When do we get a range report on it? Scope in mind? Again, I'm a little jealous of it. It looks fantastic.

That would be a sweet one! Minox also has their 1.5x8 with a #4 reticle.. That might be a nice one as well..

Gotta tell you Kurt, you with the 416 really puts me on my heals..

Probably, but I'm still keeping my eyes open for a Model 70 in .470 Capstick. And if the lottery ever comes through for me, I'm getting a .470 Nitro double! I am staying away from Weatherbys bigger than he .375 though... the .378 (especially), .416 and .460 have a reputation for being evil in the recoil department.
