I've seen it called Rock (well in QL it states it). Doesn't mean it true, just stating what I've seen.

Not so sure. I don't know as it would be any more powerful than a 444 Marlin, but it would be rimless, so you could easily load it in a bolt gun, or a semi-auto. Could you imagine a Garand, but flinging 444 Marlin rounds?

Several years ago some local guys built some guns on Garands. The gunsmith passed away but my buddy was working with him and has a Garand in .458 Win Mag.

Just bought a 6.5-280 Ackley on LRH, so I am focusing on the 25-280 Ackley. I just need to find the appropriate barrel in a 7.5 or 8 twist. The 8 twist will stabilize the 133gr and 135gr Bergers, the 7.5 or even a 7 twist would be better.

As much as I love the .25-06, it simply isn’t super easy to find brass for. I know, i know, I can always use .270, 30-06 etc. brass.

But I would love to see something that was approximating .257 Roberts +P ballistics but in a .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor case that would become so popular that it would be super easy to find! I love .25’s!

I know about the .25 Hillbilly and .25 Souper etc. but I have really come to not enjoy wildcats personally.
