I'm having buyers remorse!

Not that I actually bought the rifle but that I'm tearing it apart. I bought this rifle to build my .338-06 on and picked it up from my FFL today. The rifle handles about perfect and makes me wonder if I can do it.

M70 Classic FWT .30-06
McMillan FWT stock
Weights 7.9 oz as pictured

I've got an Edge stock to put this action in, but I sure like the feel of the FWT even if it is 10 oz heavier.

Nice looking rifle for sure.

If you decide to shoot it, you might as well get a box of 220 gr PT's and call it done.

Yes sir!

I would even take 200 gr AB's or PT's at 2700 fps!

You've been warned: don't shoot the donor! Good looking rifle, though.

Wanna sell it?

Sure I'd sell it for just a M70 Classic action 06 bolt face and some cash on your part. Has to be a Classic with the old trigger none of that new MOA trigger for me. I'll be selling the stock at the least since I have that Edge it would be a shame not to use it.

I don't plan on shooting it but do plan on disassembly ASAP to prevent it from happening.

no action on hand...... but cash.....- :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I'm doing the same thing I can't find an action but can pick up an ADL for$475which is $150cheaper than the BDL and about the same as a used rifle plus I can add a few upgrades to it and don't have to find an FFL or worry about shipping.

Don't shoot it buddy! That would make a sweet handling rifle in a 338-06... Heck, I like that stock a bunch as well. Although, your Edge might lessen recoil a bit more...

My donor actions. 700 apart after 2 hours not gonna shoot it!

Nice snag......... Worth it but too much for me. Thank you though!

Well the stock will be up for sale soon, if you are interested. I had bid on several classics on GB and couldn't get one bought for a price I was willing to pay for the action as a donor. That is why I'm more willing to cut a deal if you can come up with a classic action.

Probably not. EDGE stocks are significantly lighter than regular Mickeys, and if anything, stiffer. Maybe if the new stock fit him a little better...
