IMR Trail Boss for .308win

I never thought of stabilization as a factor. My "thinking" was to use short for caliber jacketed bullets because they "might" be less sticky and more consistant w/velocity.
I guess that thinking possibly solved a problem purely by luck.
I did have really good luck w/the 110 v Max. I also had pretty good luck w/some 155 Nos comp blems.
Betting your 110 are gonna work great too.

Going to load them this afternoon. I'll pop off a couple
in the back yard to see if they stabilize. I'll shoot jugs to see
if they expand and use the chrono. Stand by for results.
Here's what they look like 2.500 COAL.

I guess I left my brain out when I loaded @ 11.0gr.
Thinking I was going to be around 1200 with the 110"s.
Average velocity was 1502 with a ES of 39 and SD of 15
for 5 shots. The keyhole problem is solved, the data on the Berger
website helped {Thanks Jason}..The group was a ragged hole @ 50yds
with one low. Again no recoil but had a slight crack when shot. All in all
learned a lot and I will try again at 9.0gr for something subsonic.
All I have read says 26" and 1:12 is not conducive to sub loads and
that it is to slow a twist. The 2 foulers were some old hunting loads with 165 PTs
man they shoot good. I've made no scope adjustment on my normal
100 yd. zero yet. I'll keep posting this thread till I get it or give up, but not today
as my family and I will be attending the local Memorial Day Program Honoring
all serving, have served , and those that gave everything so we all can embrace
the freedom they have so willing given us. I would not be posting, shooting, reloading,
ect. if not for them. God bless America. Skid

Forgot to add this also. I shot jugs to check for expansion.
And....thinking 1200 ish I thought 3 jugs was enough.
NOT.........blew through all 3 couldn't find it on the ground
it went into the berm....bummer.

Looks good skid mark should make a fine load for your daughter.

I wouldn't reduce it too much you have to maintain 70 percent of available case capacity and shorter bullets equal greater capacity

I have thought about that and will be filling the case and doing the math
as per IMR's recommendation prior to loading less. This is a good load
for her though. She's excited.
That fire still burning up There?

Bigger every day, over 125,000 acres, lots of smoke and "snowing" ash. It's been keeping me from my bear bait, gonna have to bite the bullet, get a mask and deal with it. Time is running out for brown bear

Are you intending to use these on game?

No..Only for her to shoot a larger gun. She shoots my Anschutz .22mag now
and it fits her small frame well. After she gets use to the 308 I will let her
shoot higher vel, and weight. We hunt together out of a ground blind that
I have set up a table with rests so it is just like shooting at the bench. The gun weighs
a ton and soaks up recoil, we already bow hunt together in a treestand were I film and she shoots or vise versa. She's getting pumped for the upcoming season in the fall.

I loaded up some 130gr TTSX for hunting loads, the 125 AccuBond or BT would be great too.

Last year I light loaded some 110gr sierra @ 2730fps for my buddy's daughter and she killed a nice meat bull caribou with it.

Saw the burning on TV. Hope you and your family are not
in any danger. Wish I was Brown Bear hunting. Good luck.
Alaska taught me how small I really was. And how big God is.

We are up in anchorage 154 miles north, some mornings the smoke gets irritating but no danger
